Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her acting career as a child soon after her move to the United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 to 2016 - and now in 2020 - have earned her acclaim. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she was involved in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also starred in the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot television series called New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were two years old, immigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They moved to West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties resulted in her appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she quit after her second year. Then, she earned a GED and graduated with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
